A new tree for next year

Well I have always wanted a white tree and I did find one reduced last year for "$10, but it is a 6ft. wide tree and with little space for big trees, I got a new one for my anniversary. It's a 7 1/2 white pencil tree and should be here today. I won't get to put the gingerbreads on it, but next year, it will be used for my gingerbreads, since it won't take up that much space, only a little taller. The wider white tree will go in my bedroom, so I have been collecting anything pink or white trimmed in pink and if I have to I will make some pink snowflakes which are a symbol of breast cancer. I made some last year, but sold out and the lady who bought them wants more, so I have to work on that. Going to make pink icicles also because I did some for my aunt and after she put them on her tree, it looked so professional with her other ornaments. I have a picture somewhere on a disk and hopefully will find it one day to show you.

My sister in law didn't have many ornaments, so one year as a gift, I made and bought an entire tree full for her and she still puts them up and the tree is gorgeous. I am not big on putting ribbon in my trees like professionals do but someday, I hope to try it and see if I can do it. I love how the ribbon and tulle looks wrapped in a tree instead of the ususal garland that adorns my trees. I know my trees are all traditional and I love red and green, but I go to Christmas blogs and see the many different trees and I want something different. It took us over 35 years to collect the Hallmark ornaments we have, but it's getting harder and harder each year to try and decorate each theme tree, although it is fun.

I did a tree for my daughter with most of her ornaments that we have stored here for over 20 years and she is excited that I did it. I couldn't wait to surprise her, because I didn't want to put her in shock, but she said" Mom, it's too late for that" and they do have to admit that they love it and wouldn't recognize our home without the Christmas frufru every where. I still have enough things to decorate an entire home, but can only rotate every year with my favorite ornaments.
Can't wait to see everyone's trees and after Thanksgiving, I will post the rest of my pictures and though some look the same, they are all a bit changed.
No fireplace pics this year because of the monster tv that sits on it now, but that will also change when it is mounted on the wall until I can get a new entertainment center.
Wishing you joy and happiness during the holiday season. Love, hugs, and Blessings.

Another sneak peak

This is the new pink tree I got for the room where my daughter will sleep in. I am not sure what she will think. We are still searching for her ornaments, so if I find them soon, a different tree willl be put in because she is not a big fan of pink.

A sneak peak at Christmas

Just giving you a sneak peak of my kitchen which is my favorite place to decorate. I love gingerbreads and candy ornaments and have been collecting for a long time. When you walk into my kitchen, you can smell Christmas in the air, thanks to Tyler candles, but I do have to put them on the stove now because I am so forgetful and don't want another fire in my kitchen. Hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

I hope this gets you in the Christmas spririt.
